Building on the success of our test trading scheme which had supported 20 people into business in 2010, we created an intensive programme of support to engage and inspire local people to set up in business. Delivered in partnership with Denbighshire Enterprise Agency and funded by the Big Fund Coastal Communities Programme, Enterprising Solutions provided a range of bespoke training events aimed at helping small business owners to improve their skills and drive their business growth, alongside mentoring support and networking opportunities.
A total of 351 people from coastal Conwy and Denbighshire accessed support and training through the programme over a two-year period, resulting in 37 new business-starts. The programme also facilitated the creation of 43 new jobs across participating micro-businesses and social enterprises.
