An in-house Wellbeing Champion team forms a central part of any organisation’s wellbeing strategy. Wellbeing Champions provide a first line of support to colleagues, offering a listening ear and signposting to specialist help where needed. They can also play a key role in organising and promoting wellbeing initiatives and activities, helping to drive and embed a positive wellbeing culture in the workplace.
Our well-established Wellbeing Champion programme will help you to understand what the role involves, and explore and shape the key skills required to bring it to life. The half-day course can be delivered on-line or in-house, in Welsh or in English. It includes access to a comprehensive toolkit of resources.
To date, we have trained nearly 400 wellbeing champions from within SMEs, colleges, care homes, charities and health boards across Wales. All of our trained champions are invited to attend our quarterly network meetings to keep connecting, share best practice and access continuing professional development opportunities.
Excellent facilitator who clearly has a lot of knowledge on the subject – excellent training and gives a good grounding and support foundation for anyone new to the role.
I thought it was well presented and I liked all the ideas about activities and signposting to support sites, lots to think about. It was great to have some support and direction as to what to do as a Wellbeing Champion otherwise it can feel a bit unsupported and unclear
Claire Lynch delivered the presentation so professionally and got everyone involved. Very engaging. I have learnt a lot on this training and I really appreciate it. Thanks RCS Wales and Claire for the Wellbeing Champions Training, I have now taken the tools to implement in my workplace.
I want to do it again already. I think all staff at my workplace could benefit from this course.
