I was finding work increasingly difficult — the pressure, long hours, and growing responsibilities were leaving me stressed and exhausted. I was sitting at my desk for too long, and I started to develop pain in my back and shoulders. My sleep was poor, my mood was low, and I was struggling to focus.

Through RCS and the In-Work Support Service, I was referred to an osteopath who specialises in neck pain and women’s health. I received six free sessions, which focused on both my physical and emotional wellbeing. The sessions combined hands-on treatment with breathing exercises, stretches, and lifestyle advice to support stress management and hormonal balance.

The sessions were transformative — they eased my pain and helped me understand how stress was affecting my body. I now have the tools to recognise the signs of burnout early and take action before it impacts my health again.

Before this, I would never have considered alternative therapy and probably would have turned to medication or time off work. Instead, I learned to prioritise my wellbeing and take a step back when needed.

The osteopath was excellent, and the whole process with RCS was smooth from start to finish. I couldn’t speak highly enough of the service — it’s made such a difference to both my health and my outlook.
