We are delighted to announce the appointment of Sioned Williams as the new Chair of RCS’s Board of Directors at last week’s AGM. Sioned currently works as Housing Support Grant Manager with Conwy County Borough Council and brings a wealth of experience from previous third sector roles in employability, digital inclusion and development. She joined the RCS Board in 2023.
Sioned said:
Becoming the new Chair of the RCS board is a privilege.
We have experienced growth and exciting developments during my first 2 years on the board, and I’m looking forward to working alongside Ali, the management team, fellow board members and partners to keep driving progress and raising our profile.
RCS is an incredible organisation delivering life changing services through passionate, dedicated staff.
My priority is to bring that energy and excitement to the board: aligning with operational delivery, strengthening our strategic direction, and diversifying the board – not just in skills, but in real life experiences.
Sioned’s appointment follows Professor John Parkinson stepping down after many years of valued leadership, as he takes on a new role as Dean for the Faculty of Social Sciences and Technology at Arden University. We are delighted that John will continue to support RCS as a Director.
We also say a heartfelt thank you to Eirlys Evans MBA, who has stepped down from the Board after 14 years of service. We’re grateful for her contribution and wish her every success for the future.
Here’s to an exciting new chapter for RCS and the continued growth of our mission.
