Debbie
I had lost all my confidence by then, and I didn’t know what to do next. I was recommended to WorkWell Conwy by my Occupational Therapist, and I’m so glad that I did, as it was the lifeline I needed.
My employment specialist Debbie was great from our first meeting. She didn’t rush me at all, she took the time to help me work out what my next step would be. We sat down and spoke about what my barriers were, what I wanted. Looking at my transferable skills was particularly useful as I didn’t want to work in health again. We re-wrote my CV together, and she encouraged me to apply for local roles. Debbie even gave me the confidence to pop into local shops with my CV to see if businesses had any vacancies. I didn’t think I’d have the confidence to do that again.
Thanks to WorkWell’s support I secured a job as an exam invigilator, and then a part time job at a small local family business. It’s only one day a week, sometimes more, but it was exactly what I needed to help me get in a better place again.
WorkWell is a fab service, and Debbie’s approach to engagement and employability has played a significant part in moving me forward. Debbie was just like a friend, and her support and encouragement empowered me to move forward with my life.
I’m much more confident now, my confidence has returned. Thank you WorkWell.
