From 2012 to 2014, we piloted a unique new job broking service to help link local job-seeking customers with employers from small to medium sized businesses. Open Doors provided a package of practical support including independent advice about the range of wage subsidy schemes, a matching service to link employers with suitable candidates and in-work support to help job retention. For those job-seeking customers who were further from the labour market and needed a little extra hand-holding, we made sure we put them in touch with the right organisations to help them gain the confidence or training they needed to progress.  By the end of the two-year pilot, Open Doors had supported 411 people into employment, 46 people into volunteering opportunities, and 285 people into training.
