From 2011-2015, RCS delivered a number of Intermediate Labour Market programmes, funded through the Wales Council for Voluntary Action. Working closely with local small and medium sized businesses and social enterprises, our programmes created a varied and inspiring range of supported employment opportunities for individuals facing particular barriers to employment, including those over 50, with work-limiting health conditions,or with backgrounds of offending. Our work opportunities enabled participants to develop their skills in a real work environment, and to gain a foothold in the labour market. Over 50% of participants progressed into permanent jobs at the end of their involvement with the programme.
