Expanding In-Work Support

RCS is delighted to have won new contracts to deliver Welsh Government’s In-Work Support Service (IWSS) in North Wales, Dyfed and Swansea Bay from 2023-2025.

Welsh Government is investing in an expansion of the service pan-Wales, building on the success of the European-funded IWSS, which operated in North Wales and Swansea Bay between 2015 and 2022.

The new In-Work Support Service will provide individualised and tailored support to help employees sustain and flourish in work, including therapies for health conditions that may be putting them at risk of absence. The service will be aimed at employees from small and medium sized businesses who do not have access to occupational health services.

The service will also offer a dedicated programme of specialist training and support to help SME employers create happier, healthier workplaces.

From 2015 to 2022, we helped a total 2602 absentees back to work from sickness absence and an additional 5022 presentees to improve their health and wellbeing at work. We also supported more than 280 SME employers to improve workplace wellbeing.

We’re currently recruiting staff and specialist providers to help us launch the service later this Spring.
